Makara’s Holiday Gift Guide ✨
This season’s Made Market is here! And with it comes one of my most beloved traditions: doing my holiday shopping from local artists and makers in our region. Every season, I find gifts for my friends, family, and—one of my favorites—my international gift exchange with other fellow military spouses.
The exchange emphasises one thing: sharing a little bit of where you live with the other person. It’s a way to celebrate your city, your community, and the makers who make it vibrant. Louisville has so many incredible artists, so this year I’ve put together a small gift guide featuring makers I adore—perfect for all the different people on your list!
Below, you’ll find some of my favorites from makers you’ll meet at Made Market this weekend. I hope this guide helps you find something thoughtful, intentional, and deeply local.
For the person who needs a sweet, small gift…
Adelite Fite Illustrations – Mini Cards & Illustrations

Price point: Budget-friendly options
For the friend with the cool, eclectic jewelry energy…
Howdy Hello — Handmade Polymer Jewelry

For the foodie, the cocktail lover, or the host with the most…
Modica — Mixers for Mocktails & Cocktails

For the collector of handmade treasures…
Castoe Pots — Ceramic Snowman Set

Who: Castoe Pots

Happy holiday gifting, friends 🎁
Thank you for supporting local makers—not only does your gift become more meaningful, but your purchase directly supports an artist’s livelihood and creativity. If you’ll be at Made Market, come say hi! I’d love to help you find the perfect piece, whether at my booth or someone else’s
Wishing you a warm week ahead. ✨
Yours Truly,
Makara
