Today’s a special day in our home — it’s my husband’s birthday! 🥳
And while cake, laughter, and maybe a little too much espresso are definitely on the agenda… there’s also a fun tradition we’ve kept for years now: he gets to pick one of my original artworks to keep. 🎨💝
It started as a spontaneous gift of love — and now it’s become a birthday ritual.
Each year, he gets first dibs on any new piece I’ve created. If something speaks to him, he can swap it in… but if he’s still attached to the one he chose last year, he keeps it. (Though, let’s be honest — he wants to keep them all, and then I’d have nothing left to share! 😄)
So we made a deal: One artwork, once a year. A beautiful reminder of how art lives not just on walls, but in the heart of our home and relationship.
