From St. James to Belknap: Lanterns, Light, and New Memories ✨

A Heartfelt Recap + What’s Next

Hi friend,

What a whirlwind this past weekend at the St. James Court Art Show was! 💛 Being surrounded by so many art lovers in the heart of historic Louisville is always such a special experience. From reconnecting with familiar faces to meeting new friends, every conversation and smile reminded me why I love sharing my work in person. And also, I hope you all enjoyed your watermelons. ;)

If you stopped by, thank you for bringing your warmth and encouragement — you make these long show days feel so meaningful. And if you couldn’t make it, know that your support from afar is just as deeply felt.

Now, I’m excited to share what’s coming next:
✨ The lanterns are making a second appearance this fall!

At Belknap Fall Festival, I’ll be bringing back my handcrafted lanterns — a tradition that’s so close to my heart. Just like at the Asian Night Market, lanterns are my way of illuminating the evening and spreading joy. Whether you want to carry one through the festival or take one home, there will be a variety of styles (and affordable options!) so everyone can join in the light.

I’d love for you to stop by, pick out a lantern, or just say hello. Sharing this light with you is always the highlight of my fall season. 🌙

Yours truly,
Makara
